After a summer which last longer than usual cold weather is finally came back. It’s not a bad news, when winter returns Christmas time is coming, didn’t you notice the Christmas decorations on the streets of the town?
Here at Osteria la Pioppa we’ve pulled out the decorations and we’ve started to create the right atmosphere.

We’ve thought that Golose stuzzicherie is the best appetizer for this
festivity: what could be better than starting the Christmas lunch with a plate
of appetizers to share all together?
In Osteria la Pioppa’s golose stuzzicherie Christmas version you will find:
-Goose ham roses
-Salad with pomegranate
-Crouton with culatello and fig sauce
-Millefeuille of potatoes and porcini mushrooms
Then we have a couple of first course.
In our opinion on Christmas table can’t miss home made fresh pasta. This year we decided to prepare chestnut tagliatelle with cardoncelli mushrooms whisked with cave cheese for a rich taste.
The second main course is a risotto with morellino of Scansano, one of the most famous Tuscan red wines.
The main course is a succulent tenderloin of Irish beef with hazelnut sauce with fresh seasonal vegetables for side dish.
In the end, an eggnog parfait. It’s Christmas, you can succumb to some temptation!
An Italian lunch can’t finish without a good espresso. Our coffee is brewed by Krifi coffee roasting of Ferrara, our trusted supplier.
